Over the weekend, we enjoyed time outdoors on the Big Creek Greenway in Alpharetta. The Big Creek Greenway is primarily a 12-foot wide concrete path that meanders through the woods along Big Creek. The greenway offers an ideal setting for walking, jogging, inline roller blading, and biking. Dirt mountain bike trails are located on the east side of the creek 2/5 mile south of Webb Bridge Road.

This is one of our family’s favorite places to enjoy in Alpharetta! The concrete trail meanders along Big Creek parallel to North Point Parkway, from Windward Parkway at Marconi Drive on the north end to Mansell Road on the south end. A soft mulch trail encircles a large wetland between Haynes Bridge Road and Mansell Road. Wildlife such as blue heron, deer, ducks and Canada geese can be observed in this preserved water setting. Hudson was willing to share his favorite thing of the day in the video below.

Find more creek details and information from the City of Alpharetta and the Big Creek Greenway site.
